Withings – E-commerce Homepage Redesign

Context

As part of an evolution of its visual identity and brand strategy, Withings wanted to initiate a progressive transition toward a new artistic direction across its e-commerce platform. The homepage, being the most visited page and the main entry point of the customer journey, was selected as the first step of this transformation. I was brought in as the sole Front-End Developer on the project, working directly with a designer to bring this new vision to life while meeting the technical constraints and performance requirements of a high-traffic e-commerce website.

Challenge

The Withings homepage was a critical strategic asset. It needed to embody the company's new brand identity while maintaining the performance, reliability, and commercial effectiveness expected from an e-commerce platform handling significant traffic and sales volumes. The challenge was to deliver a completely redesigned experience without disrupting user habits or negatively impacting key performance metrics. In addition, this first implementation needed to establish both the visual and technical foundations for the future redesign of the rest of the platform.

Solution

Working closely with the project's designer, I was responsible for the complete development of the new homepage. My role was to transform the new visual direction into a modern, responsive, and high-performance user experience while maintaining the quality and reliability standards required for a high-traffic environment. I developed the components required for the redesign, integrated the new interactions and animations, and optimized the experience across all devices and screen sizes. This first release enabled Withings to successfully begin its transition toward a new digital identity while maintaining a seamless user experience and the performance standards essential to the business.
